Fr. Rosensteel Council, No. 2169, is proud of having been called the "Flagship Council of the Maryland State Council" by Past State Deputy John Glynn. Each year, we consistently win awards in the five program areas, and we have won First Place in Pro-Life Activities for ten consecutive years. All that is very gratifying, but we happily acknowledge that it is only because we are very fortunate in having a large corps of generous and active members. It is these members who give so freely of their time and resources to support our various charity efforts and provide so many activities for our members and the community. Read on to find out some of what these men and their families are doing...
We are lucky, as well, to have a slate of talented and dedicated Officers.
Council meetings are held at Rosensteel Hall, 9707 Rosensteel Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910, at 8:15 pm on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
Our Council Home is owned and beautifully maintained by The Forest Glen Building Association, Inc.
Our ballrooms and catering services are efficiently run by The Fr. Rosensteel Clubhouse Association, Inc.
We have a very active and award winning Ladies Auxiliary, The Maryknights.
The Retired Men's Club holds monthly luncheons attended by about 200 members and associates and goes on exciting tours six times each year.
In keeping with Fr. McGivney's original vision of the purposes of the Knights, widows of departed brothers retain their association with the Council through Mary's Widows.
The Knights of Columbus is a very family oriented organization, and we are no exception. Visit us with your entire family on any Friday night after 6:00 for Family Night. Games and entertainment are available for children; fraternity and adult conversation are there for their parents. Inexpensive, good, and imaginative dinners are available from one or our Kitchen Crews. Watch the Knight Life or check the calendars below for information on a large variety of other Church, Community, Council, Family and Youth activities.
A growing number of our 1400 members have electronic mail access. We are maintaining a central directory for everyone's convenience.
Our official Council monthly newsletter, Knight Life, is professionally published. We have the following issues on line in Adobe Acrobat format.

Fr. Rosensteel Council, No. 2169, was founded in December, 1920, under the guidance of Father Charles Oscar Rosensteel, so we have a long and distinguished Council History with historic ties to St. John's Parish.

There are several other Knights of Columbus Councils maintaining pages on the World Wide Web. Most of them can be reached from here.
There are a huge number (growing all the time) of sites of general Catholic interest. Using any of the search sites will provide you with incredible lists if you search for "Catholic." Other good places to start might be Catholic Resources On the Net or Catholic Online. There are many others.
